BY TRAIN

Tigre has two railway stations: TIGRE and DELTA

  • RETIRO-TIGRE (servicio directo de la línea Mitre TBA)
Trains to Tigre depart from Retiro Rail Station, Mitre line, platforms 1 or 2. On weekdays trains run every ten minutes till midnight, at weekends every thirty minutes. It takes around 50 minutes to get to Tigre.

  • RETIRO-MITRE --- TREN DE LA COSTA (MAIPU-DELTA)
Another option can be taking at Retiro Rail Station, Mitre line, the service that goes up to Mitre Station (usually leaving from platform 3 or 4) where a connection with Tren de la Costa can be made. Once you get to Mitre Station cross a bridge over Maipú Avenue and you'll easily find Maipú station where you can take Tren de la Costa (Coastal Train) to Delta station, in Tigre.

Tren de la Costa offers a one-way ticket (valid only for the journey Maipú-Delta) or a special one allowing visitors to get off at different stations without paying any extras (you can get off and on the train the times you want in the same way). It runs daily every twenty minutes.

Remember to look at the timetable chart at Retiro Station to check from which platform the train leaves. Keep the ticket until you leave Tigre Train Station.

BY BUS

Public bus nº 60 leaves from Constitución and has different stops throughout Buenos Aires city. It takes approximately one hour and a half to get to Tigre. The fastest service has a green sign with the word Panamericana -it takes the highway-.

Buses in Buenos Aires have automatic ticket machines that only work with coins.

BY CAR

For those who rent a car, the fastest way to get to Tigre is Autopista del Sol (highway). It only takes about 30 minutes. Getting to Tigre is easy, just follow the signs for Acceso Norte and Ramal Tigre. Another alternative is taking Libertador Avenue going Vicente López, San Isidro and San Fernando.
